Become a "Local Contact"

Over the years it became apparent that Seasonal Workers would benefit from a connection to people in the York community. For that reason the "Local Contacts" program was started. The role of the Local Contact is to provide such things as occasional transportation or a home cooked meal. Participation in the Local Contact program is a wonderful way to learn about other cultures and share your own culture with others.

Attend a Meeting

We welcome you to check out the Diversity Forum by attending a monthly meeting where program ideas are generated and committees are formed to study issues and develop programs.  We meet on the second Tuesday at 4:00pm at York Public Library, September thru June, with summer meetings if needed.

We hope you will find something of interest and choose to join the Diversity Forum.  All members receive emails about upcoming meetings, past meeting minutes and scheduled programs and events.
